Indesign and Intel Core i7-8700

Hi, I need to buy a new Desktop and install InDesign. Will the program work with Intel Core i7-8700 and Windows 10 Home? I saw the recommendations that InDesign works best with Pentium 4 processors but I honestly cannot find a Desktop with this kind of processor.  Also,would a NVIDIA graphics card work for InDesign?  I'd be so grateful for some advice.  Thank you.

      Yes, an i7 and Windows 10 Home will work great. An Nvidia graphics card will be super for InDesign and Photoshop. Your detail about a Pentium 4 is probably aging information.

      I am on Intel Core i7-2600, Windows 10 Home and NVIDIA graphics card. After upgrading my computer — added 32 GB RAM and SATAIII hard disk on which I installed system and apps — InDesign CC 2019 works very well: fast and no crashes. I recommend you to install as much memory as possible, especially if you’re going to run other apps in parallel: e.g. Photoshop, Illustrator, Acrobat. (I usually do.)

      Thank you very much. I suspected that. One last question: I hear that InDesign has a "touch" zone: to use that what are the requirements for Monitor etc ?

      The Windows version of InDesign has a touch workspace. I have no idea what this touch zone you're referring to is. If the application detects a touch enabled screen the touch workspace will be available.
