Hello,
Sorry if it's not the right place to report what I found to be an issue.
I'm working to create a book from a 212 pages PDF PowerPoint presentation. The import work flawlessy. However, not a single image boundy box has the Blue Square to anchor the image in a text.
Here in attachment are 4 objects. I've collated 4 screen captures to demonstrate the issue. The bottom one is the one coming from the PDF import. See its bounding box !?! The there others are tests I made to try understanding the situation.
If I group two PDF imported images together, the grouping becomes normal again.
As a work around, I have to "reveal in Finder" the image object I want to anchor in a text, delete it an drop it again into my project. Then all is normal.
Any help, advice ?
Best regards,
Thierry

Hi @TVNshack,
Thank you so much for sharing the detailed explanation and screenshots. It really helps in understanding the issue clearly. I see what you mean about the missing blue anchor square on images imported through the Convert PDF to InDesign feature in the Beta, and how grouping or manually replacing the image seems to fix it.
I'm currently checking this with the product team to understand if this is expected behavior or a bug, and I'll follow up with you as soon as I hear back from them. Really appreciate your patience in the meantime.
Looking forward to updating you soon!
Abhishek

Thank you Abhishek,
By the way ... all Frames are affected by this beavior; even text frames: none whatsoever have an Anchor Blue Square.
And ... sorry for the spelling mistakes (damn spellchecker).
Rgds,
Thierry

This has been the single most unstable feature ever implemented. I have had InDesign crash multiple different times and even lost days of work because I kept trying it out and I finally gave up. They should just go to fixing the most important bugs. This is like really terrible. What is the purpose of this?
