Hi everyone! I'm having issues with my indesign. Everytime I want to draw an object, move an object create a new one... the canvas goes all white and I can't really see anything.
I'm working on MacBook Air, Sonoma 14.7, InDesign 2025 (20.0.1). I did read that there were similar issues but I thought they have been fixed?
TIA!

Estou pagando muito caro para a ADOBE e para a APPLE para eles NÃO resolverem o problema do IN DESIGN. O PROBLEMA continua. Não é possível VARRER um texto e marcá-lo. A TELA PISCA e fica tudo BRANCO.

I am paying a lot to ADOBE and APPLE for NOT solving the IN DESIGN problem.
The problem continues. It is not possible to SCAN text and mark it. THE SCREEN FLASHES
and everything goes WHITE. This problem started with upgrading to MAC OS SONOMA.
And since then there has been this pushing and shoving game between ADOBE and APPLE
and no one has resolved anything. Great disrespect towards the consumer or is it inability...
If you don't know how to solve it, you should take a step back, eliminate SONOMA
and go back to the PREVIOUS version and NOT leave everyone who works with IN DESIGN
having to create solutions to overcome the problem. problem.... TRAGIC!!!

Sorry for your troubles.
It's up to the end user - that's you, me and everyone else, that buys software that they have the correct hardware to run the applications they want to run.
As you can see - Sonoma is not a supported operating system for the software.

If you can install an Earlier OS then the software will probably work as expected.
Alternatively, you can continue to work on it until there's an update.
Sadly, there's no other option at the moment.
=============
Things you could try:
Try turning off the GPU Performance in the InDesign settings.
But I'm sorry for you - I know it's a lot of money to buy a Mac.
And you also pay for Adobe.
so you should ensure that your system meets the minimum specifications for the software.
Sonoma is a new OS from Mac and there's no way that Adobe could possibly forsee what's in an OS release to make it compatible with it.

I have the same problem. How can it not be compatible with the latest version of MacOS?

Because the latest version of Mac OS was not out when it was released - how it can be compatible?

There's conflicting info on the Help sites

Resolvi o problema desinstalando o I design 20.0.1 e reinstalando numa versão anterior (19.5.1). Deve ter atualizado automaticamente. Recomendo desabilitar a atualização automática do CC.
Não dá pra aguardar a Adobe ou a Apple resolverem o problema. Espero ter ajudado.

I'm on a MAC, OS 15.1.1. I know this is an olde issue, one that i though was resolved earlier in the year, but now its back with a vengence.
in the past i just had to turn off my rule to stop the flashing now it occurs everytime with or without the rule.
GPU Perfomance doesn't help me. is there something else i can click or do i have to suffer through this again for months

Quite a few users have just reported the same issue.
It appears to be a bug introduced in InDesign 20.0.1. Although reverting to 20.0 doesn't solve the problem.
In some cases, turning on GPU Performance solves the issue, which evidently doesn't help in your case.
Reverting to InDesign 2024 (19.x) is the only solution I'm aware of for now.
