I did a Clean install of my mac (not a simple restoring) : the problem is solved.

Try restoring your InDesign preferences:

Trash, Replace, Reset, or Restore the application Preferences

And now, a white window appears at the right top: I cannot hide it.

Hi Koenraad,

We suspect that the issue of the blank window can be due to the specific location of install of InDesign on you machine.

To confirm the same, please let us the know the full path of installation of InDesign CC 2017.

By the way, the blank window should go away after you quit and relaunch InDesign.

Thanks and Regards

Indeed, after quit and relaunch InDesign, the blank window get away, but its appears others times when I open InDesign. It the problem of intermittent failures.

The help window in the menu bar is always absent. I uninstalled completely InDesign, reinstalled it without the preferences. No difference.

Thank you for you service,

Koenraad

Hi Koenraad,

The blank window should not come once gone, unless you are resetting your preferences.

For the case where the Help window is not showing up on the menu bar, are you referring to the Search bar or anything else?

If it is related to the search bar, can you please see if the search bar shows up when you choose any other application like Finder?

Thanks and Regards

Thank you for your answer.

Excuse-me for my bad english, you're right: I refer to the search bar.

In any other application, this search bar appears correctly, even in Photoshop and Illustrator. For example:
