InDesign CC 2017 issues

New Here ,
Nov 16, 2016 Nov 16, 2016

I just installed InDesign CC 2107 on my iMac yesterday.  I'm running OS X El Capitan 10.11.6.  I created a document yesterday and it was working fine, but today when I open the document, NOTHING works!  As in, every time that I try to click on ANYTHING in the toolbar, menu, etc., I get the cursed spinning beachball!  Apparently, I'm one of MANY experiencing problems with IND CC 2017.  Any ideas anyone?

Have you tried running Disk Utlity? Have you tried trashing preferences and restarting InDesign Cc 2017?

I uninstalled it and reinstalled it to no avail, but haven't tried trashing preferences or running Disk Utility.  Will try; thank you!

Hi Michael,

Did Trashing preference and cache worked? Is it happening with a single document or multiple documents? Can you please share few sample file at santalwa@adobe.com?

Maybe this will help someone. I had the spinning beachball issue and nothing fixed it until I discovered that somehow I had changed the View/Display Performance from Typical so that every file opened in High Quality. As soon as I changed it back to Typical, everything worked as usual.
