InDesign CC 2018 crashing on startup every single time

I have inDesign CC 2018 installed (2017 not) and it crashes on startup every single time. Every once in a while, I'll see my file flash before me and then it crashes. It crashes whether I open it from the menubar, the Applications folder or clicking on a saved file. I need this for work so I'm in a huge bind. I've uninstalled it completely and reinstalled twice now too.

We have provided an update to CC2018 to addressed crashes and bugs.(If the updates are not available select "Check for app updates" option in Creative cloud application.)

What finally worked for me initially was to uninstall 2018 and install the 2017 previous version.

Hi,

Please try and clean both cache and preferences and then restarting Indesign from Creative Cloud. Do ensure you delete the folders by going to the folder locations manually.

Troubleshooting 101: Replace, or "trash" your InDesign preferences

Delete the folders from trash as well

Tried this three times and it still didn't work.

I get past the splash screen and it will typically freeze on the basic desktop screen (but does not get to the Open or Create page [it did once, then froze when I clicked on Create]).

This is the first time for installing onto this particular computer.
