InDesign CC 9.0 crashes when editing in a table

I have Windows 10 and am using InDesign CC 9.0. I use 9.0 and cannot upgrade because I also use a third-party plug-in called EasyCatalog. When I am in an InDesign file and try to select a cell in a table (to delete it), InDesign will crash--this actually happens on several different laptops (all Windows 10). It's worth noting that my company recently went through an IT transition, and this issue began after our computers were "wiped" and reset - we all had to re-download InDesign. I tried resetting my preferences, but that didn't help this issue. Not sure what to do next, so please help!

First, make sure ID is up to date for that version (I believe it should be 9.2).

Also check to see if you plugin version matches exactly to the ID version.

Make a copy of the file and disable/remove the plugin. See if the problem goes away.

If you can edit the table, that tells you that you (probably) have to upgrade the plugin.

If you still have a problem, save the files as IDML and reopen.

If you still have a problem, I would start looking at your fonts.

Have you tried removing the plug-in you mentioned just to test whether that has any effect? Is your Windows 10 the most up to date?

InDesign was not up to date for version 9.0--thank you!! That did the trick.
