Indesign, content box not moving with selection tool

HI there,

I am having issues when using the selection tool to move a content box, usually i could select it, then drag and drop in to place, however now when I try to move the box it will jump to the left of the pointer and I have to awkwardly drag it to position. I hope I have explained this well enough.... any help would be much appreciated.

You forgot to mention platform, OS and InDesign versions - but i bet you're using Windows 11, right?

Many people are reporting that the latest Windows 11 patch update KB5050094 is causing this problem. Go to Windows Update > Update History > Uninstall Update and find just the update KB5050094 and uninstall it.
