Hello,
Updated to Adobe 2025 months ago, and it was working last week until I needed a Mac update. It was not working after it needed an update (crashes on load and shows "not responding"). I updated my Mac, and it still won't work. MacOS Sequoia 15.5. 2022 Mac Studio Apple M1 Max.
I have deleted Cache, Preferences, cmd+shift+option+control on start, reinstall, etc., and nothing has worked. Old installs are not working. I've never had this problem with any Adobe app before. Any help?

Yep. This sounds like the exact same problem. Thank you!

Do you have any third party plug-ins installed for either InDesign or your Mac OS? If so, try disabling them and see if the problem persists.

Hi @Jack5FA1,
Thanks so much for sharing all the details and for already trying those initial troubleshooting steps. Since you're on macOS Sequoia 15.5 with an M1 Max, and InDesign was working fine before the OS update, this might be related to compatibility issues or conflicting plug-ins.
Please try the expert's suggestion in the thread and let us know what happens, so we can assist you further. Also, make sure all third-party plug-ins are disabled or uninstalled, as these can sometimes prevent InDesign from launching properly after system updates. You can also try opening InDesign in Safe Mode to help rule out any conflicts from plug-ins or extensions.
If the issue still persists, please check if you see the Adobe Crash Reporter dialog when InDesign crashes. If you do, kindly submit a crash report with a brief description and share the email address you used via DM, so I can check the logs and investigate further. You can refer to this article for details: https://adobe.ly/4lC3N3K.
Additionally, please also try the steps outlined in this article and let me know the results: https://adobe.ly/3TtQ9nm.
Please keep me posted after trying these steps.
Looking forward to your update!
Abhishek
