Indesign crashes when try to open IDML

Hi everyone!

I'm a Mac user and I have been having trouble with Indesign crashes. I use the Indesign CS6 and I can't update it, because I have some plugins installed. If I update the Indesign, I will need update those plugins too. Constantly I have to open IDML files from CC 2018 and others. However, almost everytime I try open those IDML files, Indesign crashes. I've already reset indesign preferences and also reinstalled it, but the problem continues.

My operational system is the High-Sierra - 10.13

As Derek said CS6 is not supported for High Sierra. This means that even if you are able to get it to work you can’t count on it performing perfectly. This may be the root cause of your problem.

Another, possibly more likely, reason is the use (or possibly overuse) of IDMLs in your workflow. IDMLs work very well for one time use but they run into many unexpected issues when they are used as an ongoing part of your workflow.
