InDesign Crashing after opening Document

New Here ,
Dec 20, 2017 Dec 20, 2017

When trying to edit text in one of my files, InDesign crashes and gives me multiple error codes. We have tried uninstalling and then reinstalling InDesign, deleting the locked files, deleting the caches folder inside of the user libraries folder, and creating a idml of the file to help re construct it. Despite doing all of these steps multiple times, InDesign still has an issue with my file. Help! Here is a picture of the error after opening the .idml file. Screenshot 2017-12-20 13.22.43.png

Sounds like you might have a corrupted document. Although rare, sometimes this happens.

I assume you've also deleted your InDesign prefs, right? Also, make sure when you uninstall InDesign that you allow it to delete existing preferences, too. Good luck!

Hi whitneys,

As Scott said, looks like that the document you are working on is a corrupt one. Would you mind sharing the file? We can try to recover it at our end.

Regards

Srishti
