InDesign crashing when I copy/paste a text box

Using InDesign 2025 in macOS Sequoia 15.3, and I've a new document I just started assigning paragraphy and character styles to.  Every time I try to copy paste a text box, the program crashes and its followed by the "InDesign quit unexpectedly" and  "Sorry, an error occured." window.  I then reopen the file and get the "(File name) may be damaged. Do you want to open it anyway?. Screenshot 2025-01-31 at 1.49.06 PM.png This is the second time I have issues like this with InDesign 2025 in two months despite installing/uninstalling it twice in the same time period.  Any advice out there? This is utterly frustrating.

What font(s) are you using? 

 

Do you work locally or remotely? Any cloud service?

Hi @KNDR

 

Could you please try saving the file as an IDML, then open that IDML file and resave it? I also noticed that you're using version 20.0.1 of InDesign (as per the logs you submitted). I would suggest testing the issue on the latest version, 20.1 as well. Let me know. 

Additionally, I'll discuss this with the product team and update you once I have more information.

Could you also let us know if this issue is specific to a particular file? And as asked by Robert, where is the affected file stored (local drive, external drive, remote network location, or cloud)?

Could you please share the file, so they can analyze it? You can upload it to a cloud storage service (like Google Drive, Dropbox, WeTransfer, etc.) and share the link here. If the document is confidential, you can drop it to me via DM on the Community.
