Hello!
Does anyone have tips on how to fix an InDesign file that keeps crashing when you view certain pages?
Every time I get to between pages 112 and 117 in this attached file, it crashes. Then the only way to get it to reopen is to
1. not send a report,
2. not have InDesign recover the file
3. open the file anew.
It's been a few weeks since I last really worked on this file, but I do recall there being certain times when magically I could look at those pages and edit them. Posting now because it's only crashing now, no grace period where the file works smoothly. Is there overset text that's doing this? Something else?
I'd be grateful for any help! Thanks so much!

Hi @Tom34966195ggnw,
Crashes like this are often linked to overset text, damaged images, or sometimes a corrupt element on those specific pages. A good first step is to export the file to IDML and reopen it, as that can usually clear out hidden corruption. If the crash continues, try temporarily moving or removing the pages between 112 and 117 using a divide and conquer approach to see if a single element is causing the problem. It would also help if you could confirm which version of InDesign and OS you are using, and please submit the crash report through the Adobe Crash Reporter and share your email address with me via DM, so I can check the logs for more details. Ref: https://adobe.ly/46q0bx9. You can also try the suggestions in these articles which cover common crash scenarios: https://adobe.ly/3WguVdP and https://adobe.ly/3KlfJJT.
Please keep me posted on how it goes after trying these steps.
