Indesign Dokumente öffnen nur noch schreibgeschützt

Hallo liebes Forum,

Correct answer Eileen-

Thank you. Your answer helped me to solve the problem. In my case it wasn't the read-only checkbox. But I could uncheck the archive checkbox. It seems like it's normaly active on my computer. But after I unchecked this, I could open my file without read-only. Maybe that helps anyone else too, to get around that bug.

Hello, when saving to the network, the owner was not saved correctly.

That's why you only have read rights. (write-protected)

If you change the rights for all to read and write, everything works again!

But unfortunately it still seems to be a current BUG and the error is not fixed!

I also found out that the first time I open the file it is write-protected, as soon as I close it and open it again everything works without write protection.

as far as I understand it's a known bug that happens to files on certain secure networks. Adobe should address it in the next release which is now in beta. you can find more info here:

When you right-click on a file and select properties, is the Read-Only check box selected? I assume you are using a Windows system. It is in File Info on a Mac. I had a similar issue on a server a while back after a strange backup or when data is moved from a storage to another.

Also, can you share a screenshot of your File > Open window. Which oiption do you select at the bottom left corner?
