InDesign Effects panel

When I select Effects from the Window drop down, the Pages panel appears instead. I have uninstalled and reinstalled InDesign but the problem remains. Any ideas for a fix?

As JML suggests, it sounds like the Pages and Effect panes are docked together. Bring up either one and look closely for the tab of the other. Separate them, and all should work correctly.

Check if the Effects panel and the pages panel are not docked together. If not, try to reset preferences: quit InDesign and relaunch it while holding down the Shift, Ctrl and Alt keys [Windows], Shift, Ctrl, Alt and Cmd keys [Mac] until you see a warning message asking for confirmation.

Thanks. I actually reset the Workspace and everything returned to normal.

in the future, to find the best place to post your message, use the list here, https://community.adobe.com/

p.s. i don't think the adobe website, and forums in particular, are easy to navigate, so don't spend a lot of time searching that forum list. do your best and we'll move the post (like this one has already been moved) if it helps you get responses.
