InDesign EPUB: Are fillable text boxes possible?

is it possible to make a fillable text area in an epub doc?

I've been using a PDF with editable text boxes for a while now and a new project at work came up and I was thinking of making an interactive epub book but there are certain parts that I want user input.

I just want a person to answer a question or two and be able to save the whole doc with their answers included.  so Not a quiz or anything just a book with user input.

When i tried to make a text box it didn't export right.  as in the text boxes were not working.

I think epubs in indesign can use a media overlay and html is compatible with the overlay.  so would I HAVE to make a form in html then embed it?  or is there an easier way?
