Trying to open the app (InDesign 2020) and I get the following message. I don't understand what's happening

"Unable to launch Adobe InDesign as you do not have sufficient permissions to access the preferences folders. Ensure that you have appropriate permissions and then restart Adobe InDesign."

If you are on macOS. For 10.13 and 10.14 there is a reported bug that once you have opened more than 500 apps without a real restart of the computer the user defaults cannot be written anymore (which are placed in the preferences folder). Restart your system.

Thanks for the comment. I'm on macOS Catalina 10.15.3. Actually I uninstalled the app and re-install again and it's back to normal but I don't know if its fixed or not.

Did you try a restart before re-installing?
