Indesign exporting larger page

Hi all, this has been going on for 2 years, I cannot export a proper PDF.

 

No bleeds/marks. Page size 8.5x11

 

Export size 10x13.5

 

Nothing works...

Not even close to enough information. Version of InDesign. Operating system. How are you measuring this PDF.

We'll be happy to help here, but I am betting dollars to donuts that we're dealing with some kind of user error here.

Nothing works...

 

Are all of the pages in your document the same size? Use the Pages tool and the Tranform panel to check each page size.

 

Also, make sure there’s no Slug included:

I tried that, here's what my settings are. Seems like a glitch...

 

You can see my export settings, normal. 8.5 x 11....and the exported PDF has additional margins... no slug, etc

I see a bleed setting--no?

 

You are getting the correct size for an 8.5x11 with a 1 inch bleed per your settings.

Your Marks and Bleeds panel is showing a 1" Bleed on all sides, so if the exported page has an 8.5" x11" trim size the PDF page should be 10.5" x 13". Set the Bleeds to 0 if you want 8.5" x 11".

also enable the option "Show art, trim & bleed boxes" in the prefrences of Adobe Acrobat Pro or Adobe Reader.

Preferences > Page Dispay > Page Content and Information
