InDesign Extensions Fail to be Imported

Hello,

I have a fresh install of the CS6 Suite on Windows.  I am getting the following message when launching Adobe Extension Manager CS6...

"The following extensions '...a whole bunch of extensions listed...' for product 'InDesign CS6' failed to be imported.  Please make sure these are valid extensions."

Any thoughts on what may be causing this?

Thanks.

    Hi SJMarty ,

Bob's remark does not mean that InDesign CS6 will not run successfully on a current Windows 10.

In my case it does. But some time in the future it will not, because Windows 10 will be permanently updated.

FWIW: I still can open Adobe Extension Manager CS6 and get a similar warning message. In my case for InCopy CS6.

If I click OK Extension Manager is somehow freezing, at least it needs its time to show the next message, this time for InDesign CS6. So forget about Extension Manager on Windows 10. It simply does not work anymore as intended.

From my German Windows 10 with Extension Manager CS6 open showing no components for any of my installed CS6 versions of Adobe applications:

Maybe Download / Install this extension using an Extension Install Utility will help, especially point 2:

    Install Instructions

    Quote from point 2 added:

…Do not use Adobe Extension Manager for CC2015 or later compatible Adobe apps. It is no longer supported and may create install issues. Use a third party utility for extension installation, such as those mentioned above for installation, if installation via the Creative Cloud desktop app is not successful.

    Hi,

the alerted extensions are the basis of usual functions in InDesign CS6.

    For example: The Articles panel.

If you are switching to InDesign CS6 are you able to see and use the Articles panel under main menu Window?

    Regards,
    Uwe
