InDesign file handling slows to crawl after updating to Sequoia 15.4.1

Hi all, just updated to Sequoia 15.4.1 today and, all of a sudden, dealing with any indesign file of any size whatsoever has become extremely slow. Even with files I was using just yesterday that were operating at full speed without any issues.

Opening and saving files takes absolutely forever, and often they just cause indesign to go not responsive with the spinning ball. For example, opening a file of 18mb takes over ten minutes. Tried the same files on an older machine with older indesign and they were quick again. Most recent version of indesign 20.3.

Any tips would be much appreciated. Thanks!

Mainly - check for duplicated / corrupted fonts. And maybe disable Typeface app - if you're using it.

No problem fo rme in an M1 MacBook Pro running Sequoia 15.4.1.

I'd suggest restoring your InDesign preferences:

EDIT: Goes beyond file handling – even within the files, cutting and pasting simple vectors or text boxes causes the ball to spin. Simple tasks now cause the largest issues.
