InDesign files not showing in the folder of the person I shared with

I uploaded a packaged folder to to Creative Cloud that is shared. The person receiving the shared package can view everything their end (links folder, document fonts folder and pdf file) but the acutal InDesign files are missing. This is happening in reverse too - the packages they have uploaded show everything but the InDesign files. We're unsure what to do about this as we both need to collaborate on our work.

Correct answer Laubender

Hi Julie,

if all things fail use Dropbox and define a shared folder with your colleague.

The free version should work for testing this with one project.

Warning: Do not enable Dropbox' Smart Synch feature!

what's a packaged folder?  a zipped (or otherwise compressed) folder?

You "Package" folders in InDesign and the resulting Folder contains your
InDesign file, a Document Fonts folder and a Links folder which contains
all images/assets used in the design.
