Hi Kattie,

this is a new bug with InDesign 15.1.2.226 and some instances with the usage of variable fonts.

You may find a bug discription at InDesign UserVoice.

Ah. After a quick search:

Underline with variable font
When the underline of a variable font is activated, the underline takes the whole height of the page. (Indesign 15.1.2)

My advice: Go back

Ok, so I can click on the text box to add a hyperlink but I can't select a word and make a hyperlink because the blue box shows up... (I used to be able to select a word and add a hyperlink to it before the upgrade.)

My advice: Go back to the previous version of InDesign.

You can do this by uninstalling and re-installing through the Creative Cloud Desktop application.

Or as a workaround:

Use a different font if possible.

Not a variable one.

Thank you for your help! Will this get fixed in the future so we are able to use any fonts?
