Hi all
Each month I export a simple layout which incorporates a short mp4 film and a basic play button from indesign as a PDF. The film should play in a floating box when activated.
This workflow no longer appears to work from indesign. I press the button and nothing happens.
Any ideas?
This may sound silly but the only different I can see is the media preview box in indesign has now lost the ability to add a controller bar. So I guess an update has removed the ability to embed media in a PDF from indesign.
Yes, it's gone. It's Apple's fault for dropping Flash. You have to do it with HTML5 now – use InDesign's Publish Online, FXL ePub or in5. Alternatively, include a hyperlink in your PDF to a YouTube, or similar, video.

Many thanks Derek, so just to confirm there is now no means to create an interactive PDF with a embeded video file from Indesign as a PDF?

There is no way to do it reliably.

No.
Maybe next year, if Adobe implement PDF.2.0.
