indesign is unable to save this file we tried but it appears to be damaged - saving into our server

Hi everyone

 

I'm getting the error "indesign is unable to save this file we tried but it appears to be damaged" when trying to save any indesign file to my server, this is a brand new mac - only bought this week, running 14.4.1 sonoma and also the latest indesign (19.3)

 

I can save to the computer just fine.

also, what kind of server is that? a corporate network, or cloud service etc.

Then something is wrong with your server - are you sure you have writing rights?

 

Or maybe connection to your server is too slow?

I can save onto the server just fine with all of the other CS applications.

I think from v18 - InDesign is very picky with the speed of servers...

 

Can you try with a fresh empty doc - so there will be minimal amount of data to save?

 


Yup, tried it with a feresh document, still the same issue.

There were a lot of InDesign-related bugs in Sonoma prior to 14.3. Current version is 14.4.

Update it.

Hi Bob, i'm running the latest OSX
