Hi everyone

I'm getting the error "indesign is unable to save this file we tried but it appears to be damaged" when trying to save any indesign file to my server, this is a brand new mac - only bought this week, running 14.4.1 sonoma and also the latest indesign (19.3)

I can save to the computer just fine.

There were a lot of InDesign-related bugs in Sonoma prior to 14.3. Current version is 14.4.

Update it.

Then something is wrong with your server - are you sure you have writing rights?

Or maybe connection to your server is too slow?

I think from v18 - InDesign is very picky with the speed of servers...

Can you try with a fresh empty doc - so there will be minimal amount of data to save?

Yup, tried it with a feresh document, still the same issue.

What is the file path - and name(s) of the files you are trying to save?

Also... there was a thread few weeks ago, someone had wrong rights to the InDesign's local folders and couldn't even save locally - but as you've said - you have no problem saving files locally, right?

also, what kind of server is that? a corporate network, or cloud service etc.
