Hi,

I'm new to InDesign and started working on a project last week. However, today my files seem to constantly crash. I didn't have this issue last week.

Is there a reason or a fix for this?

Thank you for any help!

What was the version of InDesign last week?

By any chance 2024 - and now 2025?

Anyway, there are a lot of bugs and glitches in the latest version - 2025 / 20 - so if you can - you should downgrade to 2024.

Or your file might be already corrupted - here is info how you could try and fix it:

It was 2025. I updated it before the project.

I'm sorry to say but that wasn't a right move - of course it's not your fault.

There are a lot of threads with problems - especially from Mac users.

If you can - you should really downgrade to 2024 ASAP - so you won't have to start over your project from scratch.

Because there are a lot of bugs and glitches in 2025 and you might hit a wall at some point - so better if you start your project I'm the stable version of the InDesign.

After you install 2024 - you should see a message if you want Adobe to convert your 2025 file - when you try to open it in 2024.

I managed to bring my file over to 2024 successfully. Is there something specific I should double-check?
