This bug does not happen all the time.

Can you help me please ?

----

Bonjour,

Ah, you had said function shortcuts, and I thought you meant the Function keys like F1, F2, F3, etc.

In this case, it is mostly likely a conflict with another application. Try rebooting your computer, and only start InDesign—do the shortcuts work as expected? If not, consider the applications that autoload. Most common culprits lately are browser extensions, anti-virus apps (Webroot is a big one) and anti-malware apps.

Thank you for your answers,

This is not a wireless keyboard, this problem is not new and I restart my PC (windows 10 installed recently) every day.

I only have Norton Antivirus. You think that can come from him ?

The Control, Alt, and Shift keys are known in "geek speak" as modifier keys.

Check you accessibility settings to see if Windows shortcuts are overriding your InDesign shortcuts.

Also, what order are you holding the keys down? For example, if the Alt key is first, it will activate the programs menus; holding down (just) the Shift key for a moment will activate Sticky Keys.

Both Mac and Windows have settings to use the function keys as actual function keys or as utilities (such as volume control). My windows keyboard has a Function-lock key to toggle back and forth.

Not all function keys have utilities assigned to them, so some might work as function keys and others might not.

Zoom in and out (Cntl +/-) or undo are not function keys, but Control/Command keys.

Check to see if the OS is overriding the keys.

Also, if you use a wireless keyboard, check the batteries. (This has happened to me...)

Did you try resetting preferences, Agnès? It's the first thing to try when InDesign starts misbehaving:

Thank you for your reply.

Yes I tried but that does not solve the problem...
