in the future, to find the best place to post your message, use the list here, https://community.adobe.com/
p.s. i don't think the adobe website, and forums in particular, are easy to navigate, so don't spend a lot of time searching that forum list. do your best and we'll move the post (like this one has already been moved) if it helps you get responses.

Hello
Thank you so much for your assistance,
This a screenshot of my operating system; i checked the link you sent, it seems i have all the requirements;
it also claimed that the problem might be from a tool or a corrupt file, it isnt the case because the problem persists on every file and every tool.
On the other hand, my files are all on a hard disk; but i dont think thats causing the lags, as ive always worked on a hard disk and the lagging started the second I updated to the new indesign.
I dont know what to do, might there be a new update for indesign soon? or can i install an older version?

Hi @sarah parasite,
Thank you for sharing the details. I understand how frustrating this can be, especially when the issue started right after the update.
To address your concerns:
1. If you prefer to revert to a previous version, you can do so via the Creative Cloud app. Just go to the "Apps" tab, click on the three dots next to InDesign, and select "Other Versions."
2. While I can’t confirm exact timelines, the product team is actively working on addressing performance issues. Keeping your software updated is a good practice, so look out for any new updates.
Please keep me posted on any changes, and if you need further assistance, don’t hesitate to ask!
Thanks,
Abhishek Rao
