Does anyone have any ideas?

Can you be more specific to your issue?
what library?
What os?
What version of InDesign?
Any screenshots to share?

Have you tried troubleshooting:
Try resetting your preferences:

Windows: Start InDesign, and then press Shift+Ctrl+Alt. Click Yes when asked if you want to delete preference files.
macOS: While pressing Shift+Option+Command+Control, start InDesign. Click Yes when asked if you want to delete preference files.
A dialog will appear asking to delete the InDesign Preferences, select 'Yes' on this dialog.

Reinstalling rarely fixes everything - you can do a complete reinstall using the

Hi,

Sorry to hear about the trouble. Please try the steps shared below:

-Sign out of Adobe InDesign & Adobe CC Desktop app.

-Close Adobe CC Sync Services & other Adobe processes from the Task Manager/Activity Monitor.

-Reboot the computer.
-Sign back on the Adobe CC Desktop app & launch InDesign from there and check again.

If this doesn't help, please share the details asked above we'll try our best to assist.

Thanks

Hello,
I have noticed that Adobe has discontinued Creative Cloud file synchronisation. That must be the problem. I am now contacting our IT department, who will then have to solve it via company support.
Thanks for the answers - the problem is solved on this platform.
