Indesign Menu - Asian type of characters show when Type tools is selected

Question

When Type Tool is selected it shows to the left of the font dropdown section the "asian" type of icons. I do not know the language so just generalized this.

Does anyone know how to fix that?

Version: Indesign 16.4 x64

Windows 10 20H2

Hi there,

Sorry to hear about your experience. I'd recommend updating your app to the latest version(v17.0.1) & let us know if you have the similar behavior.

If you with to use the InDesign 16.4, try resetting preferences of the app once. Also, check the installation language of the app within Creative Cloud preferences and change it to English if it is not. You may follow the suggestions here: https://helpx.adobe.com/creative-cloud/help/change-install-language.html
