Looks like the UI is going to get a coat of varnish. Apart from the facelift, are there going to be any ground-breaking changes to ID this year? ID users like myself have been longing for some truly novel features and improvements to this application since CS4, and at each Adobe MAX there's always a sense of disappointment that InDesign was left off of the Christmas list again.

RE: Spectrum 2, we're already seeing it in Acrobat's "modern" user interface.
Although the redesigned clean icons and color scheme are nice, the functionality isn't there and that's what users complain about dozens of times per week in the forums.
Usability is more than just a cosmetic facelift: it also must make it easier and faster to accomplish tasks. With the new Acrobat, there are many times I find myself clicking 3, 4, 5 times to get to a function, while in the "classic" interface I click only 1 or 2 times.
When I need to get work done, I leave Acrobat's Spectrum GUI and revert to the previous interface that worked better and faster — and that I could customize, somewhat.
I do not look forward to having to tolerate this *&^%$#! in InDesign, too.
