Indesign not responding when I try to open a file after altering my Adobe plan.

I recently made some changes to my Adobe CC account (over the phone) and now whenever I try to open either an existing Indesign file or create a new one, I get a beachball and nothing happens. when I hover over the app logo in the doc it says the app is not responding. It stays like that until I force quit the app. It's the same for Photoshop and Ilustrator.

I'm using a Mac mini (late 2012).

Correct answer Peter Spier

Also, have you tied logging out of the CC Desktop app and then logging in again?

That sounds more like a coincidence than anything else. What are your system specs? O/S, RAM, and InDesign version?

That is a very old computer.

OS 10.15.7

2.5 GHz Dual-Core Intel Core i5

16 GB 1600 MHz DDR3

I wish I had funds for a new mac.... butI don't.

I did this, and now Indesign is working (thank you). However, Illustrator is now an issue. Whenever I try to open Illustrator 2020 or try to open a file with Illustrator 2020, I get the 'quit unexpectedly' message and it closes down.

You should probably post in the Illustrator forum and provide as many details as possible.

Hi,

Can you log in to the Adobe website and check your account, there you can check that the plan details have been updated or not.

Have you installed or updated anything since or around the time of your plan changes?

I would try first to use the Adobe App and log out, restart and log back in. Just to see if that refreshes things up.
