Hello

I'm having a problem where I have set up automated page numbering in my document, but my problem is that i have some images covering the entire page and I'd like to change the color of the pagenumber specifially on that page, is there a way for me to do that other than just adding a new text layer over the image?

You can override the page number text frame and change the text color. To override an element, Command Shift click [Mac], Ctrl Shift click [Windows] on it.

Create a new master page. You can name it something like "Page Number with Image."

Design smarter, faster, and bolder with InDesign scripting.

Nevermind, found a solution, just making another master page with the pagenumbers in the different color works well enough.

Work with layers. Dedicate a layer for page numbers, running headers and footers on top over all other layers.

For numbers in another color create a parent page based on the first parent page and change the paragraph style used her to another color. But avoid overriding the page number on the normalpages.
