Hi, I've been having Error 14 for the past 5 days now and it is urgent I an publish online. I get the same error code no matter which document I try and publish, and I've tried on a different machine.
I've send the document to someone abroad who can publish it, which is strange. I've done all the methods of disabling the proxy, and the firewall and anti-virus, still with no luck.
Loging out/in or re-installing InDesign or CC hasn't helped either.
Any help would be appreciated, thank you.
Dewi.

Hi there,
Sorry to hear abot this trouble. Error 14 means InDesign could not connect to the Adobe servers for some reason. I am hopeful that the issue was fixed. If not, please try the suggestions shared on this page Upload error while publishing InDesign document (adobe.com) and let us know how it goes.
Feel free to let us know if you still need assistance. We'd be happy to help.
Regards,
Srishti

Hi. I've had this same issue for a few days now, no ID file is publishing and I keep getting error 14 message. I have spent a lot of time back and forth on live chat with Adobe, I haven't got anywhere. This link comes up with a 404 error. Is there a solution to the error 14 message? Thanks.

Hello @BillyBarraclough,
We are sorry that you are experiencing this issue. Error code 14 generally indicates that the Server is temporarily unavailable and suggests that you try again later.
However, you can still try the suggestion in the article: Upload error while publishing InDesign document (https://adobe.ly/3AodGj3)
Please let us know, how it goes.
We would be happy to assist you further.
Thank you,
Abhishek Rao

I'm currently having this same error message. For such a great program (InDesign) the online publishing option is terrible. Come on Adobe, fix this!

Hi everyone,
Sorry for the delay in response! Just wanted to share that InDesign 20.2 has now been released. If you're still facing Error 14, please test it in this latest version and let me know if the issue persists. I tested it on my end, and it's working fine for me.
If you're still running into the error, please share the InDesign version you're using and your OS details, so we can investigate further. Looking forward to your updates!

Hi @Object Animal,
I see you've already tried reinstalling InDesign and logging out, but the issue persists. Just to confirm, does this happen with all documents or only a specific file? Could you try creating a new document with some sample text and see if that publishes successfully?
I shared the cause of this error above, but just in case, here’s the link again: Troubleshoot Publish Online Errors. Additionally, can you try switching to a different network, like a mobile hotspot, and see if that makes a difference?
Let me know how it goes!

I ran into this issue as well. I tried reinstalling, restarting, copying... everything. Then I remembered that I changed the name of the indesign project file before I opened it again and tried updating an existing link. Turns out, if you change the indesign project file name, it freaks out and won't let you update to an existing link online.. Probably something to do with coding. The only way I was able to update the already published document online again, was by chaning the project file name BACK to the original project file name. Not a complete fix, but at least I was able to update my existing link for the client. I hope this makes sense and helps someone out there!
Adobe, please fix this coding error so that if we update a project's file name, we can still update an existing link online.

Hi, it appears to be the same issue. I just upvoted it, but I see that it was an issue brought up in 2017. I'm surprised it hasn't been adressed sooner. I hope Adobe can figure this out. Not only can I not update the link, but I can't even create a new one if I change the name of the project file.
Get ready! An upgraded Adobe Community experience is coming in January.
