indesign quits unexpectedly when opening saved documents

good morning

as I wrote indesign quits unexpectedly when opening saved documents.

not just one document, many documents.

the problem occurs on Apple M1 Max, macOS 13.5.2 (22G91), indesign 19.4

I isolate the problem by opening the documents from the PC only after disconnecting the network drives that could contain links inserted in the problematic documents: in this way, with indesign 19.4 x64 I can open the files and save them.
on macos I tried to disable "Check Links Before Opening Document" but I can't open documents (indesign crash)

Is it possible to resolve the problem by examining the indesign log (probably some corrupted image or similar)?

obviously I encounter this problem on documents with very urgent delivery...

Update your system to 13.6, then, reset InDesign preferences.

Other issues occur with Sonoma even if they are supposed to be fixed. With Ventura 13.6, all runs fine.

dopo l'aggiornamento c'è stato un miglioramento sensibile.
appena verifico che il problema è risolto (veramente) segno come risposta corretta !

da notare che oltre a fare quanto suggerito da jmlevy, ho dovuto fare pulizia di tutte le modifiche presenti nei brani, eliminando le solite maledette cross-reference non risolte.
