It puts everywhere font "Minion Pro". I have uninstalled it from system and from InDesign ( in Program Files by renaming it) , useless, it is unperishable. Outside "autoflow", my default style for typing is OK, and old files created earlier by "autoflow" are OK, but I cannot import their styles, as they are automatically overrided. This happened probably after a crash of InDesign.
I looked also into "Load All Text Styles": incomingStyle conflictwithExistingStyle useIncomingDefinition, no effect.
Thank you.

You should probably start by telling us what version of InDesign you're using and the exact operating system. Then provide screen captures of your issue

your question is irrelevant, I have the latest version of app and system Windows, screen capture of what? I doubt you know the issue.

Hi,
There is no need to be rude - Steve is very knowledgeable and probably does know the issue, if you can explain it a little more clearly.
The screen captures should show the text that you've imported and in particular the paragraph and character style definitions that are active in the frame you are importing the text into, or if you're not importing into an existing frame, then your default paragraph and character style definitions.
Regards,
Malcolm

Wow! You sure do know how to win friends and influence people, don't you. IOW, your attitude sucks!
Good luck, you're going to need it.

I guess it is a kind of social gathering here and you are interested in evaluating new-comers. Sorry I have no time for it. Even without any external help, I will find the issue. I thougt here may be quicker. Time is more important for me than a social gathering. Of course may be here there are competent persons, and they know issue, but are reluctunt to offer any assistance for nothing to an unknown person.

Well, it appears that English is not Ketawr248's first language, and it's possible that he/she is using Google Translate to communicate (which can cause misunderstandings), but I agree this response is very strange, as Steve is just trying to be helpful.
Ketawr248: Your question is very difficult to understand and you will need to provide more information for anyone to help you.

Thank you for interest in my person, I type on fly and use Google only for possible answers from all versions. As I have found no answer there, I posted here. Will you tell me at least why I cannot kill the font Minion Pro? it is a puzzle for me.

Minion Pro is the core "default font" that InDesign requires. All new documents begin with Minion Pro.
If you do not want Minion Pro to be your default font for a document, you can change it by editing Basic Paragraph Style. Or, it is better to create a new style and apply that (click it when no objects are selected on the page). Anne-Marie wrote about that here: https://indesignsecrets.com/3-ways-change-default-font-indesign-dont-edit-basic-paragraph.php
If you want the Advanced reason that Minion Pro is inside every InDesign document (and the crazy workaround you could take to change it, for each document), you can read about the [No Paragraph Style] IDML trick here: https://indesignsecrets.com/changing-default-font-indesign-document-advanced.php

I read that article before posting here, it won't help here, because overriding happens only during clipboard handling, in Preferences I could not tackle the issue of clipboard.

It is not clear why then my app worked without Minion Pro earlier and now cannot bypass it.

It should be written then somewhere in app about it.

You can also change the InDesign default font and size by selecting them from the drop-down menu without any document open.

Of course, I have tried it before posting it here. To understand the problem we first need to discover why the overriding happens, and the procedure is reversable. After overriding I select all or a part of text and revert it to any font. A script can also do it, or forbid to use Minion Pro.

I don't completely understand your problem (although I am trying to), Kentawr248, but I can tell you that if you have issues with the software itself, it is best addressed on User Voice. The engineers and product managers and other users look at suggestions. It is the best place to express your opinion about Minion Pro. It's not as popular now as when InDesign was released, and you have a great idea.
When I place files into InDesign, they usually come from Word and have styles. I map the styles to my InDesign styles so I never see the issue you are seeing. Can you explain your workflow a lititle better?

1. Minion Pro is the default font because the application must have a default font somewhere. (And it could be worse – it used to be "Times".) But every default setting can be redefined! If you are so averse to Minion as you appear to be (however, see #3 below), change it to your personal favorite font with all documents closed. (If this is the route you want to go, ask for more directions.)
2. I don't see the connection with "autoflow". Are you having this problem when placing (~ "importing") a Word document? All that "Autoflow" does is automatically create new text frames at the end of a document.
So this needs more clarification. If possible, with screen shots.
3. Yes, Minion Pro is the default for new documents. But it is only because it's the default in [Basic Paragraph], and that, in turn, is the default paragraph style because defaults need to be stored somewhere. If you are using Paragraph Styles, then a new default style can be set by changing the style applied in [Basic Text Frame]. (Which is the default Object style applied to new text frames.)
If your current problems are consistently appearing after the crash you mentioned, it is entirely possible that you are trying to explain the unexplainable and your InDesign settings have been corrupted by that crash. Corrupt settings have caused all kinds of weird problems. You can reset your settings to defaults following the instructions at the top of this forum, under "Troubleshooting 101": Troubleshooting 101: Replace, or "trash" your InDesign preferences

ok, I will do it later, briefly: I put any .txt file and output will be with Minion Pro and my style is overrided, "+" is added in the style tab. ID is on my office computer, but I will post some pics later.

Hmmm, Kentwar, that sounds odd, and do try what Jongware suggests.
But first, try this:
With the same document, choose File > Place, as you have been doing, then click without any modifier keys and place the text on one page. What happens?
Then undo to reload the Place cursor.
Now Shift + Click to place the same text with Autoflow. Does it behave the same or different as the first time?
Also, are your styles based on the built-in "Basic Paragraph" style? Many people avoid that for multiple reasons and either base styles on No Paragraph Style or on a "Base Style" that they on-purpose create that holds the typeface, hyphenation, etc. Look at your style definitions to see if they are based on another style.
We don't know if you are a beginner, intermediate, or expert, so please ask for more steps if we are not providing enough information.

OK, I will illustrate now all my misfortunes and you will guess my level.
Here are my styles:
"Normal" is my old style which i cannot implement anymore with new files.
"Basic" is now used, marked as in "conflict with existing style", not clear what kind of conflict and what effect will have "uncheck". I have removed "style 1".
My clipboard preferences:
My Type preferences:
My Advanced Type preferences:
My Composition preferences (note Substituted Fonts checked) :
My General preferences:
My Object Style options, text frame :
My Text frame General Options:
That's all with my preferences. May be they are irrelevent to my problem, but as I haven't found tutorial on Preferences, I leave it here for your kind evaluation and suggestions.
In next thread I will present pics of my loaded text files.

Now I present pics of my loaded files, not all fonts behave in similar way, I choosed fonts clearly distinct from Minion pro. I load the same text file.
Here is font Jokerman, while clicking on text, nothing will change. Note the cyan color, I have found a message in Internet:
<<Every time I paste a text into any InDesign document in InDesign CC2015 – it also imports the color 100% cyan to my swatch library. (They text is still black though, and there is no background color or anything.)
Anyone knows why this happens?!? ...https://forums.adobe.com/thread/1880132 >>
Here is font Blackoak, the same issue:
Here is font Devanagari, no Cyan color:
Dont rejoice it, it is a fake. When I click on the text it will instantly appear as:
So it was Minion Pro pretending to be Devananagari!! To load a real Devanagari, I have to "select all" and choose Devanagari font.
Here I have at last managed to load Jockerman without Cyan:
When Minion pro overrides, it will add "+":
Normally it is like this:
Here is my fake Devanagari in Cyan:
It will instantly turn into Minion Pro when I click on text. Note its Paragraüh style:
Please show my errors and mistakes.
Thanks for reading.

I have: Object Style Options, General: Based on: None. Options: None and Basic Graphics Frame
Object Style Options, Paragraph Styles: Basic Paragraph. Options: Basic Paragraph and No Paragraph Style and New Paragraph Style. (I tried all: no effect).
I have: Paragraph Style: Basic Character Format: my desired font.
To remove Cyan, one has to click on "+" in Paragraph tab.
Non-latin fonts are reluctant to display latin letters in autoflow mode, for example: Devanagari, Mangal, Gurmukhi, Myriad Hebrew, etc; they are replaced by Minion Pro.
One has to repeat several times the desired font in "paragraph styles option" or "redefine style" or both, before it is fixed.
<<With the same document, choose File > Place, as you have been doing, then click without any modifier keys and place the text on one page. What happens?

Same result: Minion Pro replaces all.
