Hi - Runnning InDD 19.5 on a Mac running Mac OS Sonoma 14.6.
3-fold issue:
• Using Command-S option not saving files. Only way to save files is to manually use the File menu to "Save As". This is not the end of the world (NOW that I figured out this was happeneng), but throws off one's workflow in an already well-established, key command-reliant brain. Note: Saving to desktop computer, not Cloud storage.
• Replaced fonts aren't sticking - when reopening files, it asks to replace fonts that were already replaced.
• History pallete - Really grateful this is now an InDD feature, but the data disappears after "Save As" (again, all I can currently DO is manually "Save As".
Thank you in advance!!!

OP here. Adding the following: Auto-activate Adobe Fonts is turned on; fonts are from Adoby font library.

First, try the general troubleshooting steps - will it make a difference?

Resetting oreferenced isn;t working. Acrobat Pro is now also not recognizing the Command-S save key command.
I checked the key commands set up in InDD, and it appears that the "Save" key command is still Command-S, as it should is by default.

That's the intended behavior. The problem is, of course, that you can't Save normally — but hopefully it'll be solved soon.

Thanks - I'm familiar with the Hisroty Palette. The issue is that when I do manage to Save the file, the recorded states completely dissappear.

Please note that I am NOT closing the document an reopening it. It's disappearing only after I'm saving the file.

Hi there...
Thanks for the info on the history Palette (I understand how it works - the issue is that as soons as you hit "Save", the history palette states all disappear).
Best,
Jalyne

In your previous posts, you indicated that you can't use the Save command—that you can only use Save As. If you are indeed using Save As, then this behavior of the History panel is expected.

This makes no sense - that should not be the case. No warning about this, and unlike any other incarnation of the e History palette in any other app. This makes me think the History Palette is WHY I can't just hit Command - S and save my files.

Hi @jalyneb,
Thank you for reaching out and sharing your issue. To help us investigate further, could you please provide a bit more information:
1. Is the issue specific to a single file, or is it happening with all files?
2. Are you using an external keyboard?
3. Are you able to save the file through the File menu > Save?
4. Since you mentioned that Cmd + S is not working, could you try using this shortcut in other applications like Illustrator, Photoshop, or Word to see if it works there?
We will do our best to assist you and resolve the issue.
Thank you,
Abhishek Rao
