InDesign Share for Review links not working

Community Beginner ,
Oct 01, 2025 Oct 01, 2025

Anyone else having issue with InDesign review links not working today? I have sent out a few and reviewers are getting this message. Other programs seem to be working fine.

Hello everyone,

The team has resolved this issue in the back end, and the links should start working again within the next few hours.
Please don't hesitate to contact us if you have any further questions or require assistance. We'd be happy to help.

Hi @AFrack,

Thanks for bringing this up. Could you please confirm which version of InDesign and operating system you're working on? It would also help if you could test by switching your network connection, for example using a mobile hotspot, to see if the issue persists. In the meantime, I'm checking this with the product team and will keep you posted with any updates.

Looking forward to your observations.

Abhishek

It seems to be everyone so not network or version issue - is it your servers issue and if so put something out to users might save people wasting hours trying to fix an issue that is not theirs??

Posted on other thread -

Thank goodness have been pulling my hair out trying to resolve this - started yesterday with not allowing guest access and wanted login with AdobeID
Today no links working all give a 404. The links are visible in Creative Cloud account... clicking any gives the 404 even for myself when logged in!!!
Adobe need to put something out on socials about this save others hours of faffing around

Same here, definitely an Adobe issue as myself and multiple team members experiencing the same issue of share for review links not working. Everything was operating normally until yesterday and I can see multiple users on this site reporting the same issue around a similar time frame.

Same here (MacBook Pro, InDesign 20.5). Clients get a 404 when they click the link. I can't update documents and when I try and open the Review Documents directly I get a 404 too. This started yesterday.

Yes, but my issue is different. The link in the Share for Review module goes to a seemingly broken version of the review, with no way to go to the next page. There are < and > buttons that instead go the next DOCUMENT in my CC files instead of the next page of the current document. I realized that if I go to my Share For Review files that it works about half the time to click the 3 dots ... then Open. If I just click the thumbnail of the file I want, it opens without page numbers again. I tried it many times and the same "... Open" sometimes opens with page numbers and sometimes doesn't.

Mine is doing the same on my end. The error above is from when guests go into the link to review it

This issue is happening to me as well. Guests reviewing get a 404 error and I'm also not able to see where they're making edit comments on the files.

Same Issue here; the file is displayed in a incomplete state, sometimes only showing one of multiple pages and removed all of the commenting tools, text is unselectable and seems to be showing as a static image. Also changing the file name displayed to a coded sequence rather than indd filename. This is occuring on new files shared and old files shared previously.

My clients are getting 404 errors but if I click the links I get only 1 page of the doc and same arrow thing you describe. It also says, "your work" in the title bar instead of the name of the file like it usually does.

Me too! All my public links are asking for clients to sign in. And when I sign in – I can only see the first page. Arrows move to other share links.

As your screenshots point out, some of the editing features are missing. So not only can new highlights not be made, but existing comments that direct you to highlighted text are not directed to anything on the page, so I have to guess what they're referring to. If there's a separate thread for this issue, please let me know, but I figured this was related.

I am having the same issue as well as one other member of my team. We are getting 404 errors most of the time but not all of the time. Our designer is posting and can see the designs fine, and there are no permissions problems.

Ive had the same problems all day too. Was working with two separate clients, one it was working for most of the day then it just suddenly went down. Both with the same error asset not found message that you've shown. Where as at my end it was all ok. Strange.

Same issue. Share fore review updating really slowly and 2 different clients getting 404 errors. Also the link titles are, "your work" not name of file.

I just chatted with Adobe support who said the following:
"... so we've tried most of the T/S steps and now we need to share this case with our backend team as it is a sever issue and it will be fixed right now most of the cx is facing the same error. Usually this type of server issues are fixed within couple of hours and team is constantly working to fix this. So we will update you once this issue is fixed as your case is open with us."

Must be a major server issue I've had this error all day and I'm in New Zealand. Was working fine yesterday. The absolute worst timing.

My team has been getting this message all day when I try to share to them for review and comments. Even I'm getting the 404 when I click the link. Servers seem to be fine according to this:
