that link above that Steve shared is how to review a document once it has been shared.  If useful, here's a link to the steps to create a review and share it.

Learn how to share InDesign documents for review (adobe.com)

note that the first step has outdated icon - the new share icon is a blue 'share' button.

thanks

I believe the InDesign Share for Review feature can be set up for someone who does not have a Creative Cloud subscription. All you need is their email address.

However I try I can't seem to share a document to review from InDesign that the reciever can view and comment on without having an Adobe ID. The link that's being sent just refers to the Adobe login page. What am I missing? Everywhere I read that it's possible for people without an Adobe ID to review documents from InDesign, so I must be doing something wrong, although I can't figure out what. Help please šŸ™‚

I believe the Share for Review feature does not require that a person making comments have an Adobe account. All you need is their email address.

I've discovered that Share for review doesn't seem to work in the Microsoft Edge browser. I've tried both PC and Mac versions. It does work in Firefox PC and Mac, and Safari.

Yes, there is a way to share design files for review with clients or stakeholders who don't have an Adobe account. Adobe Creative Cloud offers a feature called "Share for Review" in Adobe XD, which allows you to share your designs for feedback without requiring the recipients to have an Adobe account.

To use the "Share for Review" feature in Adobe XD, follow these steps:

1. Open your design file in Adobe XD.
2. Go to the "Share" tab in the upper-right corner of the Adobe XD interface.
3. Click on the "Share for Review" option.
4. A dialog box will appear, allowing you to configure the sharing settings.
5. Set the desired options such as the review link expiry, allowing comments, and allowing file downloads.
6. Click on the "Create Public Link" button to generate a unique URL for sharing.
7. Copy the generated link and share it with your client or stakeholder via email, messaging apps, or any other preferred method.
8. The recipient can open the shared link in their web browser and access the design file for review.
9. They can provide feedback, comments, and annotations directly on the design using the commenting tools provided in the web interface.

The recipients accessing the shared link for review don't need an Adobe account to provide feedback. They can review the design and leave comments without any additional login or account creation.

This "Share for Review" feature simplifies the collaboration process by allowing stakeholders to easily provide feedback on your designs, even if they don't have an Adobe account.
