InDesign suddenly stopped showing the guide when dragged from the ruler

I'm using InDesign CC and the layer is highlighted and unlocked. I've quit and restarted the program but it didn't help.

It's always worked fine up until now. Any idea why this is happening?

Try: View > Grids and Guides > Show Guides.

(Shortcut: Command/Control + semi-colon)

I should say "i checked it." everything was showing.
