Community Beginner ,

Hi,

Im looking for some assistance, Ive installed the latest version of Indesign in CC. On launching the app it seems to be freezing on start up with the sequence stuck on "Starting Up Trackers".

Does anyone know how to fix this or is it a bug, Im operating on windows.

Thank you

Hi Barb,

Would you believe, I just logged out of CC and logged back in and it worked again. Crazy....

Hi Barb,

I have isolated the issue to a server connection being slow, this was causing the program to not response in a timely fashion.

Normal service has resumed.

Did you migrate preferences from the previous version or is this a new installation?

EDIT: I found a post from a few years ago with the same error message. The recommendation was to follow the steps on this page:

I joyfully believe that! That list looked intimidating, so I'm glad restarting took care of it. 😅

Hi @DWeld,

We would like to follow up on the random crashing of InDesign. In addition to what our expert has asked, is the crash happening while working on a document? Have you noticed any specific action triggering a crash?

We will try our best to help you.

Thanks,

Harshika

Darn. OK so can you go ahead and answer my first question? Is this a brand new installation of InDesign on this computer or an upgrade? And did you migrate preferences?
