Indesign Won't Open

I am trying to open a file that was created in Indesign 17.1

I am currently using version 17.4

But am getting an error message saying file cannot be opened because it was created in a newer version of Indesign?

Thanks for the suggestion. I am unsure how I would correct that? I did click on the file to open it but INDD is up to date on my computer. Do you think I should uninstall and reinstall INDD?

Again, I will ask you...are you sure you didn't open an earlier version of InDesign? Please click on About InDesign under Help (Win) or InDesign (Mac) and check.

Are you sure you didn't open an earlier version of InDesign? If you double-clicked the file to open it, it's possible you have a file association issue where INDD files are associated with InDesign 2021.
