The entire Roboto Condensed family is properly installed on my computer via the font installation files (not Adobe CC Fonts), and all of the font weights show up in InDesign except for 'Roboto Condensed Bold'. It is working properly in other apps such as Word, even Illustrator, but not InDesign or Photoshop.
A while ago, Roboto Condensed Bold was 'added' on Adobe Fonts in Creative Cloud (but not installed). I then 'removed' it in Adobe Fonts, and installed the Roboto Condensed family via font files on my system. All of them work in InDesign/Photoshop except for 'Bold.' I'm thinking there is an issue with my system's font registry or font cache? But the problem only shows up in InDesign/Photoshop.
Already tried uninstalling all Adobe apps + CC desktop, running the Adobe Creative Cloud Cleaner Tool, re-installing the apps, log out, log in...still have the problem:
BOLD is missing from the menu:
But it's in my system:
Adobe Support is NOT able to help and is very frustrating to deal with.

Update - switched to a random older version of InDesign, 19.5.2, and it does show my font. Seems like this is a bug/problem with the latest release?

1) others report problems that can be caused by the 24H2 Win 11 update - try rolling back,
2) try resetting preferences.

Or try in reverse order - resetting preferences is quicker and less intrusive.

Might be a cache issue
Windows: C:\Users\YourUsername\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\InDesign\Version XX\XX_XX\Caches
Delete the "InDesign SavedData" and "InDesign Defaults" files.
Restart InDesign and check the font list.
For Photoshop
Close Photoshop.
Go to:
Windows: C:\Users\YourUsername\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\Adobe Photoshop 2025\
Delete "AdobeFnt_Cache.lst" and restart Photoshop.
-----------------
Clear Windows Font Cache
Stop the Windows Font Cache Service:
Open Run (Win + R), type services.msc, and press Enter.
Scroll down to Windows Font Cache Service, right click, and select Stop.
Delete Font Cache Files:
Navigate to C:\Windows\ServiceProfiles\LocalService\AppData\Local
Delete FontCache.dat and any files inside the FontCache folder.
Restart your PC and check if the font appears in InDesign.
--------------
Check for Conflicting or Duplicate Fonts
Open Windows Settings > Personalization > Fonts and search for "Roboto Condensed Bold."
If multiple versions appear, remove them all and reinstall only the latest version.
---------
Force InDesign to Recognise the Font
Try manually placing the font in InDesign’s Document Fonts or Fonts Folder:
Document-Specific
Copy the Roboto Condensed Bold.ttf or .otf file into your InDesign document folder under a subfolder named Document fonts.
Global for InDesign
Copy it to C:\Program Files\Common Files\Adobe\Fonts\ and restart InDesign.
----------------
Test a Different Font Format
If you installed a TTF, try downloading and installing the OTF version instead, or vice versa.
