Interactive PDF: Changing vector point coordinates based on user imput?

Hi guys!

I want to make a customer journey with +- 30 touchpoints and I want the users of the PDF to be able to click on a touchpoint, give a score from 1-10 and with that change the vector point of that touchpoint. I can't think of any way how to make this possible, but maybe somebody knows if this is possible in InDesign (maybe with some 3rd party script/plugin).

Just to be clear: Ill post a screenshot of what I want to achieve. Don't mind the weird language:)

There is no way to do that with interactive PDF from InDesign. I'm not even sure you could do it directly from Acrobat using javascript but you can pop over to the Acrobat forum and ask.

You might want to read this, too: https://www.boblevine.us/its-okay-to-say-no-to-interactive-pdf/

Hi Bob,

Thank you for your answer. I will check that out. I am aware of the disadvantages of interactive PDF, but I personally don't know any other option that is easily sharable by LinkedIn post (which is our plan). If you do have other Adobe or other software that you recommend for this job, even with another file format as endresult, please let me know:)

Someone more well versed in this may come along, but I cannot recommend using InDesign. This sounds more like some custom HTML / app work.

There may be some WordPress plugins floating around that can help with this or check out some of the eLearning software such as Captivate or Story Line which both export nicely to HTML.
