I've got a problem...
I made an animation (intro) in AE and exported this to a mp4 (same size as the document 1920 x 1080).
I placed this on page 1 of 5 and made an interactive pdf from Indesign...
The animation plays good but when I use my arrow to page 2 nothing happens... I can see that I am on page 2 but the mp4 is still on my screen...
The thumbnails on the left side are ok, I just can't see the other pages...
What am I doing wrong here....? Please let me know.
Thank you all!
Kind Regards Michiel
Don't use mp4 in PDFs. To play properly movies you would need additinal Flash, but Flash died. I former versions of Acrobat was Flash included, but it is about 10 Years ago. Movies are not supposed to be played in PDF or Acrobat.
Use other formats than PDFs like Publish Online or HTML.
Are you sure you're talking about PDF and not Publish Online?
Thanks for your answers.
I am working on a presentation for a digital whiteboard for primary education. A pdf seems obvious to me. I would like to incorporate some dynamic elements in it so I thought of an intro from AE. I find it a lot harder to make an epub out of this.
Forget PDF for this. It is not apropriate.
You cank link from a PDF to any other file, but you cannot incorporate the movie into the PDF.
As Willi implied, insert a hyperlink in your PDF to an external website with your video, such as YouTube or similar. That's the only reliable way to include a video in your Interactive PDF.
