Interactive PDS Checkbox value plus counting

Community Beginner ,
Sep 16, 2022 Sep 16, 2022

Hello everyone,

I'm working on an interactive document where we have the following:

Multiple questions, with 3 checkboxes.

Checkbox 1 has a value of 0, the second 1, the third 2.

Only one of these three can be checked per question.

At the bottom, I would like all the checked values counted.

Example; 2 questions with options 0 to 2. Question 1 is checked 2, question 2 is checked 1. Total is 3, and shown somewhere else.

Can anyone help me with this? I hope I explained it correctly.

This cannot be done with InDesign. You can check in the Acrobat forum to see if anyone has some magic for you.

Aw, that's to bad.
I really hoped that would be possible. I'll give the Acrobat forum a go 🙂 Thank you!

I solved my problem in Aceobat. I made the whole document in InDesign, than added all the fields and calculations in Acrobat. Works like a charm!

As Bob says, it can't be done natively in InDesign.

It can be done with my add-on, FormMaker (https://www.id-extras.com/products/formmaker/)

There's a free version for short, 1-page forms.

Thank you! That looks promising.
Do you maybe have a tutorial somewhere how to this on the checkboxes?
