Ok I have a fixed layout epub, everypage is a pdf image . First I made a TOC using hyperlinks and linking them to their pages. Works fine, but I realize client does not want. So now I needed to create an xhtml TOC using the TOC dropdown, creating styles for the actual list and links on each page.

Since each page is an image I created text boxes and created a special style for those boxes using NONE as the fill. I still see the text on the pages in the published epub even if I put the style box UNDERNEATH the pdf on the page. I tried setting opacity to 0 but It does not work.

Any help here ??????

I just placed the text box in a layer below the images, and it works. No need to hide or change the opacity.

Can you share some screenshots with us, or an example file?
