Is there a way of saving my scripts and GREP to CC?

I've had to reinstall InDesign a few times now and everytime it loses my GREP saved searches, my workspaces, my downloaded scripts, etc. I had assumed the benefit of a Cloud-based application would be that it would save these sorts of things so you don't have to start from scrtach each time. Am I missing something?

You can find a way to quickly get to your scripts - then copy them to your CC folders or backup anywhere - I back my up on Dropbox for ease of access anywhere in the world.

I could back them up in CC too, but I just haven't done that.

GREPs can be found on your computer

username/Library/Preferences/Adobe InDesign/Version 6.0/en_GB/Find-Change Queries/

It's a good idea if InDesign / Creative Cloud offered the option to back up these up somehow.

It’s 2025, and just like you, I’ve discovered that all my GREP and queries disappeared with the latest update.

I honestly don’t understand the point of having a Creative Cloud account anymore.

To ensure a backup, I periodically export my User Settings and store them on my hard drive. However, GREP patterns and Scripts aren’t included in that export. What’s the point of exporting User Settings if crucial elements like these are excluded?

I learned that in InDesign versions prior to 2015, it was possible to synchronize all settings to the cloud. But not anymore. Why?

Do I now need to dig through hidden files in my preferences folder to locate some obscure file to back up manually? Don’t you think the subscription is expensive enough that we should expect this kind of functionality to be part of the software interface?
