Is there a way to create a go back to previous page option

This question is referring to using a mobile device on a PDF.
I use InDesign to create interactive PDF’s for mobile devices.

Within the document that I create, I reference other pages and have hyperlinks that will take readers to the page that I am referencing.

Currently there is there is not option for going back to the previous page the reader was on.
I would like to place and icon or a link on each page of my document for users to click on that will take the reader back to the previous page they were on.

I looked and I do not see a way of doing this within InDesign.
Is there a way to do this in InDesign?

Wow, I thought I had this resolved with your reply.
It works on the laptop.
I went through all my master pages and created this button.
Then I put the PDF on my mobile device, and I was extremely disappointed that it does not work on the mobile device.

When I click on this button on my mobile device it takes me to the next page after the page I am on.
All it does is go one page forward every time I click on it.

I am open to other ideas or suggestions?

Is this what you're trying to create?

When someone clicks a hyperlink in your PDF, you want them to be able to revert back to where they were before clicking the hyperlink? Sort of  like the back button in a website.

If so, this is called "round trip" hyperlinking.

And no, InDesign can't automatically make the back/forth hyperlinking.

However, in Acrobat, users can choose View / Previoiuw View to return to where they were. Keyboard shortcut = Alt + Left Arrow.

But how many of our users know that Acrobat shortcut? Not many!

What you can do in InDesign is create the pair of hyperlinks manually. This is helpful for endnotes, references, and other internal hyperlinks.
