Is there anyway to copy a text frame without the content in it?

What i want to do is just create a same frame with an existing one, so i have to copy the frame first and then delete the content in it.

Looks like that there is no interface to set whether copying the content in the frame in command kCopyPageItemCmdBoss or kDuplicateCmdBoss.

Is there any other way can reach my purpose?

Any comment will be appreciated.

Thanks.

Such questions are best answered if you try to achieve the same in the UI.

If the UI has no way, then InDesign likely does not support the operation.

What aspect of the frame do you want to copy?

Features that come close are

- master pages

- object styles
